Scenarios

Scenarios are defined inside the program, but they can be configured by editing the configuration files. All the scenario configuration files are located in the 'scenarios' directory. The configuration file for each scenario is the name of the scenario with a '.conf' extension.

Currently there is only one scenario, but stay tuned for more.

scen_single_pop: Homogeneous Single Species

Configuration File: scen_single_pop.conf

In this scenario organisms move in random directions at each timestep. They reproduce with a probability that is either constant or inversely proportional to the number of surrounding organisms. Dying is based on a distribution of lifespans that can be chosen from a list of different probability distributions.

The 32x32 icons here are from the Tango Desktop Project. The logo was made in Inkscape and the website in Vim.
